I'm beginning to believe this game is actually an exquisitely sublime study on game loyalty.

My biggest 2nd passion is War of the Clans (a battletech pbm/pbem).

www.gaming-gm.us/wotc/forum

6+ years with it.

But by far (down now ) is Star Engarde

Phoenix -- www.kjcgames/phoenix is also very good
Very expensive if you get really involved tho.
Running as many ships as you like is free tho.

StarEG was, indeed, amazing. Full scale EG with varying career paths, plus adventures path, and over 100 players active, with resolutions usally within 2 weeks and more often within a week. I have no idea how Pete did it, though I know he automated some of the weekly numbers resolution stuff and kept his own adjudicating mainly for handling hairy military/adventure/investment resolution.

He may have had a duel adjuictor program, but I am not sure-- I know that DuneEG had one. Dune EG would have to be tied for first, for me, from the modern, "Generation 3+"-type EGs. Also now sadly defunct.

Huge amount of RP and a big Gazette for both of those, though there were many writers for them-- I did several of the articles for both of those.

VaticanEG was another great one-- we had very accomplished EG players and superb roleplayers for that one.

What happened to Vatican? I was a player in London when Max was running that and Emma started Vatican.

If I remember correctly (doubtful), RL reared its ugly head and we know where that leads.
