Due to a lack of response and obvious interest to his open invitation, and the number of social events taking place in the fourth week of December 1795 Edward is obliged to cancel the event he had planned for that week
To the Crew of HMS Achilles, friends and former Crewmates
Gentlemen,
I cordially invite all ships crew and their partners, along with former crewmates and friends to a party to celebrate our Saviours birth at my club, Lloyds.
Sir Horatio D'Ascoyne
OOC Manditory attendance for all crew of Achilles at Lloyds during week 4. Also invited are SMM, JB and WC
I very much regret to inform you that the New Year's Eve party will not be held at my Kensington residence. Lightning has struck and has rendered the dining room unusable. Instead, Serena and I shall be happy to receive all gentlemen of SL 8+ and their ladies in week 4 at my club (Button's).
Officers and crew of HMS Dreadnought: I apologize for the change in plans. This month's Captain's dinner will be held at Button's, same week as the New Year's Eve party. Officers (i.e. lieutenants and midshipmen) of HMS Dreadnought are, of course, not required to comply with the SL 8+ requirement
I wish to invite all gentlemen and noblemen of London to my club, Lloyds, in the second week of December to celebrate this Christmas season. As I have an inclination for parties with themes, I request that those attending dress in white to welcome the winter season. All costs for guests and their mistresses are paid for. Suffice to say, officers and crew of the Nemesis are not welcome.
I hope to see you at Lloyds.
Lieutenant Gabriel Bathurst HMS Fiddler's Green
OOC: All, except Nemesis crew and officers, invited to Lloyds in Week 2. All costs paid for guests and mistresses.
